Ajman Deservedly Defeat Al Nasr

Ajman secured an exciting 2-1 comeback victory over Al Nasr in a thrilling match at Al Maktoum Stadium, as part of Matchweek 4 of the ADNOC Pro League.

Ajman fell behind in the 26th minute when Aïdoun Hrustić gave the hosts the lead with a shot from inside the penalty area.

The hosts started strongly and looked dangerous early on, with David Petrovic coming close in the 9th minute, before Ali Al Hosani made a timely save to keep Ajman in the game.

Al Nasr continued to apply pressure after the break and nearly doubled their lead in the 50th minute, but Al Hosani once again produced an important save to deny Chris Bedia.

Ajman completed their comeback in the 65th minute when Walid Azaro headed home a precise cross from Saad Al Hadani to make it 1-1.

Eight minutes later, Ajman completed the turnaround. Saad Al Hadani followed up after Ahmed Al Baloushi saved Jobson Santos’ penalty, firing home the rebound to give Ajman a 2-1 lead and all three points.

The victory takes Ajman to 9 points in sixth place, while Al Nasr remain on 4 points in eighth place.

• This was Al Nasr’s first home defeat in the ADNOC Pro League since their loss to Bani Yas in January.
