Ajman secured an exciting 4–3 victory over visitors Hatta in a thrilling match full of twists and turns, played today at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium in the second round of the ADNOC Pro League.
The match was packed with excitement and multiple comebacks. Hatta took the lead in the 5th minute through Bruno Leonardo, before Ajman quickly equalised in the 7th minute through Lorency. Ajman then took the lead through Ismail Momen, but Hatta came back through Firas Ben Larbi in the 34th minute and took a 3–2 lead through the same player in the 44th minute. Ajman equalised in the 46th minute, before Walid Azaro snatched the winning goal in the 97th minute. The victory lifted Ajman’s tally to six points, while Hatta remain without a point.
The first half had everything: excitement, competitiveness, intensity and pace. It ended with six thrilling goals and multiple comebacks. Statistically, Ajman enjoyed the greater share of possession at 56.4%, while both teams recorded five and three shots on target respectively, with Ajman registering five and Hatta three.
The excitement began early. Hatta took the lead in the 5th minute when Bruno Leonardo headed home powerfully. Just two minutes later, Ajman responded through Lorency Nascimento, who fired home from inside the penalty area. One minute later, Ajman turned the game around and took the lead through Ismail Hassan, who produced an outstanding individual effort.
The match became even more intense in the 34th minute when Hatta equalised from the penalty spot, successfully converted by Firas Ben Larbi. In the 44th minute, Firas Ben Larbi put Hatta ahead again with his second goal. Just before half-time, Saad Al Haddani restored parity for Ajman, making it 3–3 at the end of a spectacular first half.
The second half was somewhat calmer, with Hatta creating the greater danger. As the match entered its final stages, Walid Azaro struck in the 97th minute to snatch all three points for Ajman.
