Ajman Held to a 1-1 Draw by Al Jazira

Ajman and Al Jazira shared the points with a 1-1 draw in Matchweek 24 of the ADNOC Pro League at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium.

Ajman took the lead in the 32nd minute through Victor Henrique, while Mohamed Elneny equalized for Al Jazira in first-half stoppage time (45+5).

With this result, Ajman moved to 28 points in seventh place, while Al Jazira reached 41 points in third.

Ajman had a slight edge in the first half, enjoying 54.1% possession compared to 45.9% for Al Jazira, while both teams recorded two shots on target each.

The game started at a high tempo. Ajman threatened first in the 16th minute with a powerful free-kick from Victor Henrique that struck the post. Al Jazira responded in the 20th minute with a dangerous move led by Fleycio Mendes, but goalkeeper Ali Al Hosani made an excellent save.

The intensity increased as VAR disallowed an Ajman goal in the 26th minute. However, the home side managed to take the lead in the 32nd minute through Henrique. Just before halftime, “Pride of Abu Dhabi” leveled the score via Mohamed Elneny.

The excitement continued in the second half, where VAR once again intervened to overturn a penalty awarded to Al Jazira due to an offside on Nabil Fekir. The match eventually ended in a 1-1 draw as the referee blew the final whistle.
